I keep encountering things that hold up the concept of the middle class as the great evil of today. I’m in the middle of JG Ballards “Millenium People” (at rakka’s suggestion) which seems to suggest that being middle class is something to revolt against.
Netflix suggested “The Bothersome Man”, which holds up middle class living as literal purgatory. It’s an interesting film, in a Finnish sort of way. I can’t really get it out of my head.
